Botanical Tees

The Botanical Series is a line of shirts handmade in California using a process that is exceptionally unique: Each shirt is dyed using raw, natural plant materials on 100% organic cotton.

This series is meant to reconnect our relationship with nature, art, and clothing. Long before synthetic dyes dominated the textile industry, humans employed nature to color their garments. At around the same time we were developing technology such as stone tools, spearheads, and bone flutes – we were using plants and insects to color textiles.

The plant dyes impart a unique hue and tone to the shirts, giving each one a distinctive look, and capturing an imprint of the artifacts of chemistry. The lightweight organic cotton is supremely soft, and the shirt is cut with raw edge seams and a deep neckline.
